Welcome to AndrewWerth.com. My paintings, often inspired by my interest in cognitive science and the philosophy of mind, consist of thousands of individual hand-painted marks. In them I hope to create works of art that explore color theory and perception and that you'll want to look at again and again (for more details, see my Artist Statement). In my blog, you'll find announcements of upcoming shows, first looks at new paintings or photographs, and occasional writeups about my experiences in the art world, with a focus on those shows I enjoy in the museums and galleries of New York City. I am a member of Artists' Gallery, a co-op space in Lambertville, NJ, where you can find a rotating selection of my paintings most months of the year. If you have any questions, comments, or would like to sign up for my mailing list, feel free to drop me a line.
